What is the visual effect of Mongolian folds?
1. They look as if the width of eyes is small before epicanthoplasty.
2. The distance between eyes look wide and unclear before the surgery because the corner of the eye is not exposed.
3. Asymmetries caused by different shapes of Mogolian folds in each eye
4. Pseudoesotropia. Looks as if the eyes are squinting due to the coverage of the corner of the eye.. The white part of the eye (called sclera) is covered, making the eye look very small.
5. Showing sharp images caused by inclined pattern of Mogolian folds before surgery.
6. Reinforcing effect of Magic epicanthoplasty over love-bands(a thickened portion on lower eyelid margin). They become prominent after Magic epicanthoplasty even without any procedure.
